This is a wonderful example of a vintage/antique metal mesh bag. The most exciting feature of this bag is that it closes with two sapphire blue cabochons on the closure. That particular feature is not often found. This mesh is done in 2 beautiful metallic tones. It has a very pretty feminine scalloped edge. This bag was made in Germany. It is in wonderful condition and could be carried as a special occasion bag. While I am not an expert in regards to these metal mesh bags I am told they were very popular at the turn of the century through the 1920-30’s. The size of this bag is approximately 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 not including the chain.
