Jidong Winter Peach Tree (极冬冬桃)

This variety is a mutation derived from a wild peach pit. It is renowned for its fine texture, sweetness, juiciness, crisp aroma, and excellent taste. It is more nutritious than regular peaches, containing 2 to 3 times more protein, fructose, fruit acids, and various vitamins. Notably, its vitamin C content is 3.4 times that of kiwifruit and 6.3 times that of apples.

The fruit is round with symmetrical halves. The average weight is 175 grams, with the largest reaching 378 grams. The fruit has short, dense fuzz, with a green base color and a pink blush on the sun-exposed side, covering more than 70% of the surface. The flesh is creamy yellow, firm, and has a soluble solid content of over 16.1%. The fruit begins to ripen in early November and reaches full maturity by mid-November.
