This is a Limited Edition Simpsons Chess Set by Cardinal Industries. This chess set has been discontinued for over 15 years and is highly sought for by collectors.
This colorful chess set combines the classic game of strategy and intellect with the wacky and wonderful characters that inhabit the world of the Simpsons. Packed in an attractive metal storage box, the set comes with a fold-up playing board and a complete set of playing pieces. The pieces are all durable, and can probably handle a lot of abuse and mistreatment without being damaged. As a result, fans of the show could also use the pieces as action figures or perch them on a desktop or bookshelf when they are not engaged in a battle of wills on the chessboard. With Homer and Marge Simpson as the king and queen respectively, the chess set also features Bart (bishop), Lisa (rook), and Maggie (pawn) Simpson, as well as Krusty the Clown (knight). --Chris Burns
