The Barracuda is a heavy-duty steel construction barrier lock finished with a durable powder coat finish. Design allows for easy deployment allowing a door to be secured in a matter of seconds in an emergency or lockdown situation. A wall-mounting rack for convenient storage is included.
This model is for outward swinging doors only. Model is 40 in wide.
It was purchased for a school classroom and never needed or used. Thank goodness! It's like insurance. You buy it and hope that you will never need it, but the security and peace of mind that you gain from knowing that you have it, makes it worthwhile. You would want to practice with it a few times during an intruder drill so that you would become quicker at deploying it. The back of the brackets are magnetized and work perfectly with steel door frames.
