The plug expands from 4mm to a maximum 5mm
The hole for the cable is about 7mm max on the bottom set screw and 5mm on the top screw

Tip is a little over 1/2" long
You will see it in the pictures with a wire coming out of the back of the knob. You can put wire through that hole and run the wire out the back of the knob.
